He has facilitated hundreds of live workshops, both virtually and in person.
Mr. McConnell’s expert consultative skills are well-utilized to interview clients to understand their needs, ask questions to further draw out their challenges, goals and aspirations, and to partner with each client to establish goals, formulate an individually tailored plan and develop a roadmap of successful achievement.

After many years of work with clients in publicly funded programs, Scott is launching his business, WorkLife Career, LLC, to help mid-to-late career professionals find the right career fit. Whether they have been downsized, ghosted in job search or they just don’t know how to start their job search. Sometimes we just need a change or fresh start.
He is a great source of ideas, tools and resources to come up with goals and a plan to reach them. He knows it is always best to start with what is known and before moving forward to the unknown, but yet still to be discovered.
Knowing where you are starting from is the best way to know how best to reach your goals and make an executable plan of small steps forward to reach them. Sometimes the solution is waiting for us through the people we meet on the way to our destination. Don’t be too hard set on the outcome or you might miss out on something even better!

During his career, Mr. McConnell has always been an advocate of networking. Whether on LinkedIn (since 2005) or participating in WorkSource workshops or even 40+ of Puget Sound Association, a nonprofit organization that supports professionals 40 years and above in providing support and essential job search training to effectively job search, interview, network and obtain job offers.
Later, after this experience, Scott became associated with WorkSource in Washington where he began his work in Workforce Development as an Career Transition Specialist.
His experience spans over three decades, working for small, midsize and multinational corporations. These include Armstrong, Microsoft, WorkLife Solutions, etc.

Originally from Seattle, Scott recently relocated to Charlotte, NC, where he now calls home.
While he is not working with clients, Scott enjoys hiking, traveling and socializing with friends and his east coast family.
He looks forward to his next cruise and taking in the Aurora Borealis from Alaska or Iceland.

No, Scott currently do not offer in-person coaching. All coaching sessions are conducted virtually. You can book individual appointments, or choose from available coaching packages for more structured support.
